The Concord Hospital additions and renovations total approximately 200,000 SF. The 6-story, East building will double the size of the Emergency Department with disaster relief isolation rooms, decontamination room with holding tank and two new trauma rooms on the first floor. The second floor will consist of two 10-bed ICUs with the remaining four floors housing medical surgical beds.

The new, 6-story, North Building will house a state-of-the-art central sterile supply for the entire hospital resulting in a 90% reduction in water usage over present equipment, four new orthopedic ORs with support spaces and an expansion of the Hospital dietary services.

In addition to the new buildings, approximately 30,000 SF of renovations will take place in the immediate adjacencies. The project also includes the expansion of the central chilled water plant from 1,600 tons to 2,900 tons which will trigger the expansion of the existing central medium pressure (100 psi) steam plant.
