From campus-style energy planning, to
facility energy audits, to building systems simulation and performance
evaluation, SEi’s energy team works to assist owners with optimizing
their energy utilization. Whether it be the evaluation of existing
facilities through energy audits, conservation strategies or systems
modernization or the planning of new facilities with central utility
plants and network distribution, SEi works to provide owners with
cost effective, sustainable energy solutions.
To control energy use one must understand how it is truly consumed in a facility. SEi’s energy team not only understands how mechanical and electrical systems operate, but also the dynamics of the building, its material and operating profiles and their interdependencies. SEi offers energy and life cycle systems modeling through energy usage simulation that presents the client with an extremely detailed analysis of energy usage and how the building systems operate under various scenarios. This type of energy evaluation also supports our sustainable projects. The information provided can be used in concert with the LEED™ Certification process to quantify a building’s Green design. The SEi team also assists our clients by identifying available funding sources and rebate opportunities for their projects as well as recommending and procuring energy efficient equipment and systems. SEi is not only able to provide clients with an actionable efficient improvement report but will also help clients design and build those recommended systems to fully “close the loop” on a given project.
